1999 Desaru Half Iron Man/Woman
Glenn Reports:
"The race was meant to be 2km swim, 90km bike and 21km run.
In the women under 30 age group 1st was Nicole Bud from USA, 2nd was a girl
from Hong Kong, Fiona Lim came 3rd, the fastest Malaysian from Sabah then
Mariana 4th.

The swim ended up being about 3km because the first swimmer came out after
40mins, so Mariana took 1hr 11mins in the swim, after 2hrs 59mins she had
finished the bike then 2hrs 36mins the run was completed totalling 6hrs
46mins.

The overall winner from Finland took just under 5hrs and the last competitor
from Malaysia took just under 10hrs.
Because the run started for most competitors about 2pm, all had a very tough
time, as it was sunny and very hot."

At the 1999 Terrenganu Tri, Mariana was in fifth place.
