Friends from PO'OINO and LOAFER come to say goodbye the day we left Mexico for the Marquesas. PO'OINO stayed behind in Mexico, LOAFER followed across the Pacific a few weeks later. YEHUDI with Sarah and Mike motoring with us on the way to Isla Partida and the Y2K kickoff beach party.

TRIUMPH with George, Tish and Toby, flying a chute on the way between Ua Pou and Raroia, French Polynesia. TRIUMPH is a large trimaran. SCALDIS with Richard, Marcie and Loren on the same passage between Ua Pou and Raroia. SCALDIS is a 50 foot steel ketch built in Germany in the 1930's.

AMAZON 1 at anchor off Punta Mita, Mexico. We enjoyed our last sundowner in Mexico with Dieter and Hildegarde. The next morning we raised anchor and sailed accross the Pacific to French Polynesia. Kareka of Makemo. A lovely teenager from the island of Makemo in the Tuamotus. Great hat too. We visited her family pearl farm in company with the crew from TRIUMPH.
