Here's a map of Viet Nam. This tour will take you from south to north. If you think the page takes a long time to load, you should try the puddle-jumpers, trains, roads, and motorcycles.
The photos are grouped for faster loading. Just click on the region to see the pictures.
Saigon: Saigon or, as the communists call it, Ho Chi Minh City, has a formal zoo, but you don't need to visit it. The whole city is a zoo. Tons of people. Tons of motorbikes. Crossing the street is a contact sport.
Mekong Delta: The Mekong Delta area is this huge tropical swamp with rivers everywhere for hundreds of miles. As Robin Williams said, "So hot, you can fry an egg in your pants." Note: we didn't try.
Central Coast: The central coastal area of the country is mostly fishing villages and some historical sites.
Ha Noi: Hanoi is known by Americans as communist central, but is actually sort of a nice, French colonial city.
Ha Long Bay: Ha Long Bay, in the northern part of the South China Sea, has this huge expanse of limestone formations.
The North: The northern part of the country, near China, is cold, mountainous and populated by native hill tribes. Good sensitivity photos!
