Mathias was son of Jakob Larsen. As far as we know, Jakob was the first man who lived in Kallevik. He married Johanne Johannesdotter Kinn from Sveio (1822-1884). Together they got 11 children. 9 of them grew up:
4 sons and 5 daughters. 3 sons immigrated to America and stayed there,
so did 1 daughter.
