Learning Curve | Meant for the non-technical executive, this is a resource which explains technical terms in plain english. | |||||
IFIP | International Federation of Information Processing has members from 50 countries working to develop, research, and apply information technology for the benefit of all people. | |||||

Pc Pit Stop | A great site which remotely checks your computer for any kind of hardware/ software problems and gives you a report - and that too free. I am not sure if it will work on a dial-up, but it does on a broadband connection. | |||||
Tom's Hardware | A great site for getting updates on technology and reviews on new products. Make sure that you check out the reviews of computer related stuff here. | |||||
Anand Tech | Another site similar to Tom's Hardware, but less extensive in the number of products it covers (maybe because Tom's Hardware beat it to the start). | |||||
TechJourney | A directory of sites that cater to all manner of technology professionals, from Unix gurus to Java novices. | |||||
DevX | Short for Development Exchange, another umbrella site, which has channel sites for all development platforms. part of the Fawcette Technology Group. | |||||
