Raw BUGS

At night
Almost alone
Sleepless
Tossing, turning
The bugs crawl through my brain

Infesting
Ingesting
Molesting
Why don't they let me sleep?

Morning dawns
I feel ... I feel ...
Like the excrement of those damned bugs
Sweaty, tired, drawn
Why don't they go away?

They weren't always here
I was liberated once
I dreamt, I wished, I hoped, I lived
If only now they would let me be ... now ...

Now awake and bathing ... shaving ...
DAMN those bugs!
Why won't they let me be
The morning news is announcing the northerly advancement of killer bees
Oh please god, set me free

I can feel these pests, these bugs
Burrowing in my head
I want to be extricated from them
So that I CAN dream and wish and hope and live again!

While driving ... no fleeing ... to work
They hitch a ride
There is no escape from them
Not now, maybe never, yes maybe someday
I dream, I wish, I hope ...

Damn bugs!

Oh s..t, give me another beer!
