What can I do to help?

Just because the Manatee are endangered they do not have to become extinct. You can help. There are several organizations that support manatee preservation.

1. Save the Manatee
   The Save the Manatee Club was established in 1981 by former Governor Bob Graham and singer/song writer Jimmy Buffett to promote public awareness and education about the endangered manatee.
   

2. Adopt a Manatee
   You can Adopt-A-Manatee and either Homosassa Springs or Blue Springs State Parks; donations are tax deductible. Call 1-800-432-JOIN for more details of click on the Save the Manatee link above.
   

3. Take Actions For Manatees!
   This page keeps you up to day with current actions to aid in the protection of Manatee.
   

4. Manatee Tag
   You can purchase a Florida Manatee Tag and a percentage of the fee goes to help preserve the manatee and their habitat.
