ADMINISTRATIVE SECTIONS
 Italy is divided in autonomous administrative units: 20 regions (la regione), 95 departments (la provincia) and approximately 8000 localities (il comune).
A locality (il comune) represents any administrative unit ruled by a mayoralty.
A department is the same as a county.
