| The vast majority of Borneo is covered in dense rainforest and is one of the countries principal assets. Under heavy pressure by logging and agricultural companies the extent to which the forests can be protected is unclear. However the growing tourist trade may encourage a continuing commitment to sustainable management of the environment. |
