In December 1999, I joined a delegation visiting Cuba for a Health and Healing study tour.   My mission was to document the event. I packed my camera equipment and  an open mind.  During the time,  demonstrations in Havana were featured on  television news.  I was concerned but the anticipation for the trip outweighed the news.  What I've experienced in Cuba was quite different from my preconceived notion according to the portrayal of this country by the press.
