WHO OWNS AND MANAGES BEACHSIDE
PALMS HOLIDAY UNITS ?
Magnetic Island Beachside Palms Holiday Units is owned by Trans-World Projects Pty.
Limited.
Directors of the Company are Beverley Fay Baychek and Frank Peter Baychek.
Since 1979 the owners and managment have constantly improved the decor and facilities of
the units and established a magnificent one acre palm garden and pool which is
fastidiously maintained.
When you arrive you are welcomed by Ms. Barbara Daly.
The garden and pool are cared for by Mr. Murray Withers.
ARE THE UNIT SERVICED?
When you arrive, you are given keys. Units are presented to
you clean. Tiled floors and rugs are easy to maintain clean. Being self
contained the units are not serviced. Should you wish to have you unit serviced
during your stay, cleaning can be arranged for an extra fee.
WHAT IS SUPPLIED ?
We provide fresh linen and towels. There is an electric iron and ironing board in
each unit. To get you settled in we provide limited starter pack of soap, toilet
paper, dish washing liquid, instant coffee and tea bags. Few filters for coffee
maker, salt, pepper and sugar. Further supplies can be purchased from the
supermarket nearby. A hair drier can be provided for on request.
CHECK IN TIME is at 2 pm ( Please ring us for special arrangements )
CAN WE LEAVE BEACHSIDE PALMS LATER IN THE DAY
?
Our check-out time is 10 am. but you can enjoy our pool or B.B.Q. and use pool shower
until your late departure.
ARE THE UNITS COMFORTABLE ?
Our units are very comfortable. Good firm beds, for relaxing sleep. All
electric kitchen have full stove, baking oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee
making machine, electric jug. Selection of pots and pans, crockery and
cutlery. Lounge room has comfortable settee and armchairs, colour TV. The
panoramic view of Nelly Bay and Cape Cleveland is certainly impressive One of
the best on Magnetic Island.
HOW FAR FROM THE UNITS IS THE BEACH ?
Few meters across the Esplanade and nature strip.
IS IT A GOOD BEACH FOR SWIMMING ?
Yes! Besides golden sands, there are some spots of coral right in front of our
units. It is great for swimming and snorkelling. Few days per month on a very
low tide it is shallow. Only 200 meters down the beach, past the Heliport is all
tides perfect swimming and no coral on sea bed.
WHAT ABOUT MARINE STINGERS ( JELLY FISH ) ?
In summer - November to March marine stingers inhabit the waters along the mainland
coast.. They breed in the estuaries, and occasionally they are carried out by sea currents
to Magnetic Island. The most effected beach is Horseshoe Bay. Picnic Bay has
net enclosure. Marine stingers are not found on the outer Great Barrier Reef and
will not interfere with your reef swimming and exploring.
