My next jaunt was very much a spur of the moment thing. My flatmates Fiona and Steve discovered a website that sold tickets to the World Cup Quaterter Final between Scotland and the All Blacks ONLY to Kiwis! So after humming and harring about the price, I just though....SOD IT! And bought 3! Fiona and Steve offered to let me stay with them while I was up there, so everything was perfect......all I needed now was someone to go to the game with! Lets see...who do I know in Edinburgh?.....Oh Catriona.......fancy a rugger game? |

staying with who was Scottish and 100% positive that the A.B's were going down). We decided to hit the town during the day, so we went to a pub for lunch first and then started wandering the streets of Edinburgh. The first thing you notice about Edinburgh is that everywhere you look is something picturesque. Its a beautiful city, but not as packed as London, nor as dirty. And the atmosphere (and the locals) there are so friendly that you can't help but like the place! The top pic is of the Famous Edinburgh Castle, the middle pic is of Patria and Fiona standing in the main courtyard of the castle and to the left is the view from the courtyard bcak into the town. |
