Belfast
Well, the whole trip to Ireland was a bit of a spontaeneous affair. I had been working the the Head Office of Electronics Boutique, but I was sick of the travel (2.5 hours every day) to get there so I handed in my notice and began looking for another job. Then at almost the exact same time our lovely landlord told us we were being evicted so she could do renovations. . . . anyway, I thought "No job, no flat, may as well go travelling again!", so in the space of about 5 pints of Guiness I concocted my trip to Ireland and invited my fellow Guiness drinker of the night, Dan. Anyway, 29th of Febuary and we were off, Dan and I beginning our Irish adventure. We flew into Belfast first and were being picked up at the airport by a friend of a friend of Dans Mum....if you are confused, don't worry so was I. But we had a place to stay and as it turned out, the friend (Mary) was the best host you could hope for and I will definately be staying in touch with her. The picture below was taken when (from left to right) Dan, Isabelle (Mary's sister), Mary, and I drove all around the NW coast of Nrth Ireland. Mary and Isabelle certainly made good tour guides and we got to see all sorts sights that we may well have missed if had attempted this ourselves.
