Dublin
Ahhhh....here we are finally. The birthplace of Guiness. And what a day to be here.....St Patricks Day. Our day started off with Aidan (one half of the lovely couple that were putting Dan and I up in Slane) taking us up to Slane Hill where the whole legend of St Patrick began. Aidan explained all the history behind how St Patrick and the chasing of the snakes out of Ireland and a few other tales too. It was really intersting and a good way to start the day off.
But what both Dan and I were looking forward to was the trip into Dublin for the party! So one short bus trip and we were there!!!!
Our first mission once we were there was to meet up with the american girls that Dan had met in Cork. We were supposed to meet them outside the Guiness Brewery (only picked because we didn't know any other Dublin landmarks!) So Dan and I waited there for a while and just when we were about to head off and do our own thing, we saw them all wander around the corner. The pic on the right shows me with Vicky, Cheryl and thats Kerry leapin' about in the back.
So now all five of us decided we would hit the first pub we came across......bad mistake.
The first pub we came across was O'Ryans, from the outside it looked like a total dive and from the inside it looked like a COMPLETE dive! But it was our first pub so we cruised in and immediately got stared at by everyone else in the pub. Not to be put off by that we ordered our drinks and found ourselves a seat.....on the ground, because there were no chairs left. Well to cut  a long story short, in the space of less than one pint we saw a drunken grandfather bring his grandson to tears by refusing not to drive, a missle age man try to kick the shit out of an old lady because she thought he was wearing her coat
