and then to top it off, a group of young guys waved Kerry over to their table and started pointing a red gun (which I assumed to be fake) at her demanding that she strip, it was while she was telling them to sod off that she got a good look at the gun which turned out to be real! So we abandoned our beers and decided it was time for a new pub. We were hoping that things were going to improve after that and they sure did. We headed into the main nightlife area of Dublin, Temple Bar and found THE Temple Bar itself and made ourselves at home there. |

We stayed in the Temple Bar til the wee hours and then Dan decided he was going to a house party with Mary (a young Irish lassie that he met in the pub, pictured on the right with Dan) So Vicky, Cheryl, Kerry and I went for a wander around Dublin at night and eventually caught a bus to the B&B they were staying at and I crashed there til the morning when I tried to sneak out unnoticed by the owners. Unfortunately I was caught so I tried to make it look like I had arrived that morning to say goodbye to my friends and then ran out the door before anymore questions could be asked. Sorry girls, hope I didn't get you in trouble. | ||||||||||||||||||||
After leaving the girls, I made my way back to Slane where I was staying with Janet and Aidan. Eventually Dan turned up later that day and we swapped stories from the night before. Then we started to make plans as to what we would do from here. I decided that I wanted to stay in Dublin and work so I based myself in Slane while I was looking for work and Dan did the same thing for about a week and then he moved out, and a few days later, so did I. The pic on the left is Dan and I at a pub in Navan watching Ireland win at rugby. |
