Rome

After cruising through the Vatican Museum by myself, I waited outside to try and catch up with some of the others. The first out were David and Maude. So we teamed up and started to cruise through Rome.....after stopping for pizza and coffee of course.

We spent the whole damn day walking around the streets of Rome which was great except we had absolutely no idea where we were going. Just so you get an idea of how clueless we were, we spent 2 and a half days looking for the Boneyard....and still never found it. And before you ask, yes, we had a map. You might understand now why we dubbed ourselves "The worst tourists in the world".

After a long hot afternoon of wandering around and getting nowhere. We eventually stumled across what could possibly have been, the most deserted tourist attraction in Rome. This was the old roman bath-house. I can't remember the name, but when I do I'll put it up here. This place was huge and apart from ourselves there were maybe 3 other people there....it was exactly what we needed. So we found a nice patch of grass amongst the ruins and lay down under the blue sky and just relaxed for a couple of hours.

On the left is a pic of David and Maude.
This place was so relaxing and quiet that David eventually fell asleep on the grass and Maude and I did a bit more exploring. I couldn't believe that there was no one else here . . . it was such  magical place, and we (the worst tourists in the world) had it all to ourselves!
