Barcelona
It didn't take me long in Barcelona to decide that it was easily one of the coolest cities I have ever seen. I will definately be headed back there at some stage. It was so cool that we actually took Switzerland off our travel list so we could stay longer!!! And I started to learn castillian (the widest spoken dialect of spanish in Spain), so you get a fair idea of how we were captivated by Barcelona.

to the left is the view from our Pensione balcony. We stayed at a place called somethingorother (I forget the name, but will put it here once I remember) and although the staff there didn't speak a lot of english, we all had fun trying to communicate with each other. If anyone is ever in Barcalona, I fully recommend this place, cheap, nice, and very friendly
One of the coolest things about Barcelona is the architecture. Not everyones cup of tea I know, but some of the places here were amazing!

While we were here we decided to check out a beach, as somehow in planning our trip we hadn't included a beach anywhere! So we headed out to Sitges, a beach town about 45min on the train from Barcelona. We had the most relaxing time in Sitges. We stayed in a 2 star hotel with a pool, that was 100 metres from the beach. So we would get up around 10am or so, get changed, eat our free breakfast, wander down to the beach, sunbathe, or take a dip in the Mediterranian.....ah, lovely.
And that was how we spent most our time there. We did manage to get in a bit of window shopping and having dinner in small local resteraunts. Ang was thrilled that she got to eat Paella, which I have to admit was delicious even if the lady who owned the place frowned on the fact that I couldn't finish it all...but you should have seen how much she gave me!!!!
