Thursday morning as we drove along the
Going-to-the-sun road, we were attrached
by a sign indicating there were falls on
the river feeding Macdonald Lake.
|
The veiw of the falls
from the road was just
enough to wet our appitite
to see them closer up. They
did not look very far away
since we could see them from
the road. |
|
|
What wasn't apparent was that the
path lead the long way - through
the woods. Josh declined to go on
the trek though, we had forgotten
to get bug spray. He figured he'd
be eaten alive. Bugs like him! |
The view was worth the hike
though Joy was not prepared
for hiking. Her hiking shoes
were packed in the trunk of the
car. The path to the falls was
flat woodsland though so it was
alright, even when on rocks. |
|
|
The best view was occupied by a young couple
who were not giving up the spot. But Looey
took this picture with them in it. They made
for a beautiful picture.
|
The veiw along Macdonald Creek
was just as beautiful as
the falls. This tree
was just the right fit
for resting.
|
|
|
This log was even better.
|
On the way back, Looey took the
path through the woods and
Joy took the path along the
creek (which could not be seen
from the road). Here's Looey
emerging from the woods.
