Redang was delared as the first Marine Park in Malaysia. It is situated 45km northeast of Kuala Terengganu and 27 km off Merang the jetty point to the island.

We stayed at Pelangi Resorts, Redang. The facilities were the bare minimum and meals were a buffet affair. But swimming among the beautiful coral and colourful fishes made the stay memorable. The guides at the resorts would take us to a new snorkeling spot twice everyday. 

I only hated one thing though, there were too many people. Maybe because it was during the holiday season.

There was no Jetty, so had to wade through waist deep water to get to the beach. The coral sand was so soft and white. Ranks one of the best among all the Islands on the east coast.
