Over the past 20 years or so, L&L Drive Inn has become the leader in local style dining. With 33 locations throughout the State of Hawai'i L&L is the biggest plate lunch chain throughout the islands.
L&L features in addition to its plate lunches, a breakfast menu, sandwiches and also offers catering for parties and other events. With it's combination of quality food, generous portions, reasonable prices and accessible locations, L&L is recognized as a leader in the plate lunch business. It has garnered multiple awards through the media over the years such as the "best plate lunch place," "best BBQ plate," and "best take out place." In 1996, Jeremy Harris, Mayor of Honolulu, declared May 1, 1996 as "L&L Drive Inn Day."
