Bowling has always been a traditional pass time activity for years. Recently though it has taken on new life and form with the introduction of Cosmic Bowling . Cosmic Bowling introduces high energy music along with neon lighting to enhance the bowling experience. It has become quite a rage since it's introduction a few years ago. Currently Cosmic Bowling is only offered at the bowling alleys on military installations at Schoffield Barracks in Wahiawa and Ft. Shafter in Salt Lake.

Pool, Darts, etc

Pool has always been another favorite pass time. The most well known pool hall on the island is Brian's Billiards located on Kapiolani Blvd near to Ala Moana shopping center. Brian's billiards has valet parking and features dart machines and an arcade with the latest video games.

Miniature Golf

Minigolf has been a popular pass time for many years. Locally, there are two miniature golf courses on O'ahu. The first is the popular Hilton Hawaiian Village mini-golf course in Waikiki. The second is the Jungle River Golf Course by Pearlridge 4-Plex Theatres in 'Aiea.

Movies

O'ahu movie theatres are constantly busy throughout the week.

Movies have been an American pass time for several decades. O'ahu has its fair share of movie houses on the island. The main theatre companies on the island are Consolidated Theatres, Wallace Theatres and Signature Theatres. The main theatres near town and in Waikiki that you'd probably be checking out are the Waikiki Theatres, Kahala Mall Theatres and Restaurant Row Theatres. Waikiki has three large theatres at the corner of Seaside and Kalakaua. These are the three largest theatres on the island. Just ten minutes east from Waikiki is Kahala Mall with its 8-plex of theatres. About 5 minutes west bound from Waikiki is Restaurant Row with its 9-plex of theatres. Other notable venues on the island are the 16-Plex in Kapolei, the Pealridge 4-plex and 11-plex located in Pearlridge shopping center and the brand new Signature Theatre at the Pearl Highlands Shopping Center in Pearl City which features stadium styled seating.
