Kangerlussuaq
tourism - Kangerlussuaq tourism has a online shop that sells books
about Greenland. They are often more expensive then from Atuagkat
,but I think they have a larger selection of books available in German.
If you find a book you like from Kangerlussuaq tourism you might want to
e-mail Atuagkat to see if they have it at a lower price.
Lonely Planet - Lonely Planet
produces a travel guide book about Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands
titled, Iceland, Greenland & the Faroe Islands. I find
it to be very helpful and is the only travel guide book to Greenland
that I have found. You can get it online at Lonely
Planet or at Amazon.com
You can also purchase it at your local bookstore or at the Rand McNally
store.
How
to learn Any Language - This book has some good ideas about how
to learn a language. I bought this book and it has some great ideas.
If you want to speak Danish you should buy this book.
Note:
this book is not a book that teaches Danish, it helps you learn a language
with the best possible method.
Berlitz: Danish-English dictionary/Engelsk-Dansk ordbog - This dictionary is for the beginner. It is the only English-Danish dictionary that I have found that has pronounciations for the Danish words. If you know how to to pronounce Danish correctly (the beginner should not attempt to say he/she can pronounce Danish correctly, because pronounciation can be hard) then this is not the dictionary for you. This dictionary however, contains only 12,500 words and is not that comprehensive. It is the one I use ,but once I have a better grasp on the language I will probably buy another one. Again, this is the best Danish-English dictionary I have found for the beginner.
