The above two pictures are of the same trim area on my house, one is scaned in in gray scale and the other is in color. I use both the color and gray scale scans to see which ones contrast the issues the best. You can be the judge of which one does the best job of protraying the issues. As you can see the wood grain is showing through and the trim is spliting and cracking. Must be the some new high tech paint that is invisible and gives the wood the apperance that it is weathering. The paint has been on the house less than 3 years and we started seeing signs of the issues with in 6 months. But it is excellent construction by Jay Applegate and a house with no major problems.
