PEACE OF SOUL
Take me to the seashore
And leave me on the beach,
Soon my mind is soaring
Far beyond your reach.
The sea has always held
A special place inside of me,
I can get a simple "high"
From a salty breeze.
IN MY DREAMS
In my dreams
He'll find me,
Maybe on the beach.
The moon is full
As I wander there,
Just within his reach.
First he'll smile,
Then we'll talk,
Strolling hand in hand.
I see him take me in his arms,
And we fall into the sand.
Love me now and always.
Don't ever make me cry.
I swear I'll make you happy
Until the day you die.
In my dreams..........
THE CYCLE OF A DAY
As dawn is breaking
The red rim of the sun
Peeks above the horizon
Far across the bay.
So slowly it rises,
Spreading a pink glow
For miles around,
Reflecting on the water.
Thoughtfully sitting on the sand,
Knees drawn up,
Hands clasped,
Dreaming of my man.
The start of another day
In this easy morning pace,
One day closer to ever knowing
The beauty of his handsome face.
Sunrise to sunset......
The day's glow dying in hot orange
And into the night.
You are always with me.
THE KNIFE THAT CUTS ME
Though my pain is not physical,
I cannot go to sleep.
Here I lay, wide awake,
Fighting back tears I need to weep.
My whole life was ripped apart,
Torn from seam to seam,
Shattered like glass, melted like steel
With nothing in between.
Everything was taken away,
All things personal were lost.
Suddenly I was nobody,
Wandering spiritless and grieving most
For the Angel I gave birth to,
And nurtured with my soul,
Gave to her all things good and
My heart and hands to hold.
Loved her and kept her close to me,
Teaching and watching her grow,
Missing her smile and sweet warm hugs,
A pain you can never know.
Never mind the invasion of my pride and rights,
Or the passing of my dignity,
All those things I can overcome,
Just give back my child to me.
FLY WITH THE FAIRIES
Through sparkling stars
And heavens bright,
Take a trip with me
On this moonlit night.
We'll travel into fairy-land.
Reach out to me,
Just take my hand.
Let me take you
As high as I can go.
We can do anything,
We're soul-mates you know.
Maybe we'll stay there always
And leave reality behind.
You can come with me anywhere,
All you need is to open your mind.
CRYING
The tears falling from my eyes drop into puddles about my hands.
The drop onto the floor one at a time and form rivulets that run thru the room And out the door.
They cascade off the steps and join the pools of rain left from today's storm.
They form tiny rivers that flow down the parking lot and into the water around My house.
They add more salt to the brackish bay beyond and from there
They flow into Willoughby Bay and on to the Chesapeake and finally
They flow into the Atlantic Ocean; tiny particles of me pouring out to sea,
Mingling with the cold green waters and spreading themselves about theWorld as the tides come and go.
What You Do To Me
Bursting forth like fireworks,
Love pours out of me,
Thinking of you and dreaming of us.
My skin tingles
When you're near, not to mention
How wonderful I feel being next to you.
Seeing you or
Hearing your voice fills me with heat,
And brings a smile to my face.
Your lingering scent
Forces me to breathe deeply,
Aching for your touch.
And when you smile,
My heart completely melts,
Because I love it when you are happy.
I see you with my eyes closed and
Feel your presence when we're apart,
I fell for you, Honey, from the start.
Vision of Color
Today I saw a sunset
That almost made me cry
Such a lovely color palette
Spread across the sky
Hues so deep and passionate
Orange yellow lilac and red
Flowing from the sphere of the sun itself
Flooding the sky ahead
To the west and on the horizon
Glow the sunset's neon lights
I long to make it a ceremony
Watching our days turn into nights.....
