We host Japanese students from SHOWA Woman's University. So far we have had three pair of students. Their names are; Yuki Fujisawa and Hiroko Ohta, winter '97, Keiko Sunazuka and Maiko Sugiyama, fall '98, Sayaka Sugiyama and Ryoko Hirakata, winter '98. We are looking forward to having another SHOWA girl, Kikuko Oba visiting us in the summer of '99. We met Kikuko at SHOWA Boston on a summer program and hope to be her host family when she comes again.

These incredible young ladies then hosted us on our recent trip to Japan. They showed us a wonderful time and we love them dearly. Thank you ladies!

Initially, we hosed Japanese students as an opportunity for our home schooled daughter Jullieanne (JA) to gain experience with another culture. Unexpectedly, as do most of our home school projects, this turned out to be wonderfully rewarding for my wife Nancy and myself as well.

How delightful it is to share in their exploration of Boston. Having such wonderful friends in Japan enticed us to explore their exciting country.
