We had nothing but stunning sceneries for the next 4 days. But first, we had to plan our journey, and decided to take the route: Yamdrok Lake-Gyantse-Shigatse-Dangxiong-Namtso Lake-Lhasa.
To prepare for the journey, we worked out the amount of water we need in total, and so bought 4 boxes of 'wa ha ha' mineral water, as well as a box of 'zao can bing' (morning biscuits). And an equally important issue is to assign seats in the jeep, but we did not have much problem because we girls don't take up much space anyway!!
Our first exclamation....
Yamdrok Lake: one of the 4 holy lakes in Tibet....along with a bonus, snow! There are prayer flags on top of many mountains, marking their heights and blessings to travellers.
Namtso Lake....(pictures comming soon!!)
This is the highlight of the trip, because the water is in a special blue and not to mention it's one of the highest lake in the world, and extremely cold. We all had all our number ones on us, ie all the warm clothings that we brought throughout the trip, and the only warmth we got were the candles in the rooms. It was indeed a 'romentic' place to stay because there is no one else but us and we had candlelight dinner of canned tuna (a luxury), instant noodles and our dear biscuits!!
But
everything is worthwhile when we have such a beautiful scenery to us.....
