At the end of January we took an idyllic 3-day trekking weekend at Wilsons Prom, about a 3 hour drive from Melbourne (~200kms). The ranger at Tidal River told us that a promontory is essentially a peninsula.

We started our hike at Tidal River, where the Rangers Station is. We passed heaps of colorful Lorikeets flying in the trees along the way to the coast.

We hiked about 3 hours to the remote campsite at Oberon Bay, where we camped for the evening. We got there just in time for this sunset...
