Browserola is the world's first and only
"browser emulator"; It's a Windows program
that enables Web authors to see how their
pages look in a variety of Web browsers
without having to have those browsers
installed. Windows 95, 98 or NT 4.0

ZDU University/Smart Planet Online
I highly recommend ZDU University at http://www.zdu.com for online
classes at $4.95 a month. It is no substitute for in-person classes, but is
an excellent supplement, and utilizes online message boards. (NOTE:
ZDU has now moved to http://www.smartplanet.com/ )

Courses start every month or so. Some classes are full, and are open only
to auditors. I highly recommend Mary Morris' Web Design classes. The
Photoshop classes are also excellent.

Spectrum Virtual University
Spectrum Virtual University at http://www.vu.org/  also has online
courses, and is free. However, (at least in the past) lessons are sent by
email, and interactivity is not as extensive as at ZDU; as a result,
it takes a great deal of self-motivation to do one's lessons. (Also, as
of January 1998, there is a small fee per class)

Calendar: http://www.vu.org/calendar.html
Channels (courses) page:http://www.vu.org/channels.html

AND in ADDITION:
Another source of free online html courses is Internet Free College at http://www.aavstudio.com/ifc/student.board.enrollment.office.shtml

Nicenet.org and Nicenet.net
My demo classroom at http://www.nicenet.org is key g793w8. You
may have to register there in order to log in. Then put the above code
in the key code area and you will enter the classroom. I will set up a
message board  for web design students for you to use. You can also
sign up there for your own classroom. (As of January 1998, Nicenet
has opened a new improved free classroom site; new classrooms
should now be created at http://www.nicenet.net)
