The best seafood in Cebu is purchased fresh in the fish markets on Mactan Island and then prepared any way you like at the numerous open air restaurants adjacent to the fish market.

These seaside open air restaurants were reminiscent of the Singapore restaurants of Olive's youth where she used to enjoy chili crab with her friends and family.  She bought a big dungeness crab and had it cooked Singapore style with lots of chilies.  She was in culinary heaven.  We also had grilled fish, fresh prawns, squid and kang-kong which is our favorite local green.

Maya is the family vegetarian so she did not really get into eating seafood, but she loved cracking the crab.  Mac loves good food in all its forms and may have even out eaten Olive in this seafood feast.  The prawns and crab were his favorites.
