SEA WORLD!
I think this was the best one yet! Jen and I really needed this. We were great to each other all day. Not one ounce of crabbiness. It was Fantastic!
Last night we called Mear's to pick us up at 8:15. They were right on time. They only charge $10 for a two way trip to Sea World or Universal Studios. We got to Sea World at 8:35 and looked in this big shop at the park entrance for a few. Then we planned which shows to see and when. We saw the Whale and Dolphin show, a musical water and lights show, the Seamore and Clyde Sea Lion show, the penquin exhibit, Baywatch water show, Shamu at night, dolphin exhibit, The Wild Arctic Exhibit and the fireworks show.
Of course, we stopped at every shop along the way to every show or exhibit. I, finally, fulfilled one of my dreams, to feed a dolphin. I LOVE DOLPHINS! I didn't want to stop feeding them, but I had to. We, also, fed the stingrays (Yukky!) and the Sea Lions. We got good seating for most of the attractions. I got sunburned during the sea lion show. We were always in the second or third row, except for the first whale and dolphin show, which we were in the boonies because we were late.
There was this mime at the Seamore and Clyde show, who was absolutely histerical. He was a riot. He would make fun of people as they walked by and make faces behind their backs. He kissed this one lady's hand and then made an awful face. He ended up wiping his mouth on his hand and wiping his hand on the next person that walked by him.
The Shamu show at night was great. It was shorter than the day one but we were closer for this one. We sat 2 rows away from where Shamu comes up in the center of the stage. He is now 22ft. and 11,000 lbs. We got drenched from sitting so close to him.
There are these little lizard things that walk around down there and they are adorable. While I was waiting for Jen, I had one crawling around my feet, so I took a picture of him too. Hopefully, I will be able to post it soon.
The fireworks here are unbelievable. They were awesome. They shot water out of the lake to make this kind of wall of water coming straight out of the water. They would use the water as a screen and project the Clydesdale Horses off of it and it looked like they were running towards you in the audience. There were all these lasers going in every direction. It was really cool.
We finished shopping before Mear's was due to come and had that stuff shipped home from here. Mears was a little late picking us up but the lady who drove us told us some pretty interesting stuff. One of them, was that Disney's fire departments are really called Ready Creek (or something like that) Fire Departments. Disney refuses to put their name on anything that deals with danger or death. Secondly, Disney does not have a doctor on the WDW property. You have to be escorted out of WDW by the Ready Creek F.D. and brought to a Lake Buena Vista hospital. The reason for this being that if someone dies then they need a doctor to legally claim them dead and sign their death certificate. Disney doesn't want its name on any death certificates. Lastly, Disney asked for total jursidiction over WDW before he built it. This means that they don't need permission to do anything by state or Federal governments. It even has its own currency, water company, water filtration and electriciy. Even the air space is Disney's. You can't fly of WDW without permission from WDW. You can't land on the landing strip unless it is a total emergency. And if they allow you to land, the only way to get your plane back off is to take it apart and bring it off in pieces.
I called my boyfriend from the park today and I must tell everyone this important fact. I sent out postcards on Sunday night. It is now Thursday and not one person has received their's. (They didn't get them until Saturday.) They are low priority to the post office. So, don't wait until the end of your trip to send them out because they won't get home until after you do.
WEATHER: Humid, hot, and mostly sunny.
CROWD: Average.
