Shippagan Lighthouse, July, 1998
The Shippagan Lighthouse is no longer active. It is now being used as a tourist information centre, as indicated by the huge question mark on the front. The lighthouse is in the town of Shippagan, near the Shippagan Aquarium. Both attraction are worth taking in.
This lighthouse is the first on the route from Shippagan to Miscou Island. There are two others, at Black Point and at the north end of Miscou Island. I visited all three on one of my early morning outings in July, 1998.
