U.S. Air Force pilot Major Christopher Summers was taking a pleasure flight
with his wife, Katherine and two sons Alex and Scott, when suddenly they
were abducted by the Shi'ar. Seconds before the family was captured, Alex
and Scott were thrown from the plane, and would go on to grow up and become
the X-Men Havok and Cyclops. On the Shi'ar homeworld, Katherine died at
the hands of D'Ken and Christopher was incarcerated on the prison planet
of Alsibar. There he met Hepzibah, Raza Longknife, and Ch'od. Together,
the four escaped to become the Starjammers.
