"Right" is the rule for this track. You may see first place veer off to the left at the beginning, but that detour is actually the wider and longer route. In the first tunnel keep to the right and smash through the large icicle to enter the shorter tunnel. Next, As you enter the building head up the right ramp. If you miss it, just keep to the right. It gets confusing after that, because there is no defined tracks. Just keep to the right and you'll find your way out. Once out of the building, you'll have to negotiate one tough turn, then you can start building up speed and take the lead.

Your best bet is to invest in a Repair upgrade before entering this race. There are three great shortcuts that will shorten this track considerably. To catch the first one you need to stay o the upper level of the track. Falling off it will cost you precious seconds. You may want to hang back a little at the beginning of the race to avoid getting pushed on to the lower level. If you can stay on the upper track long enough, (pull back on the control stick and steer carefully when going over the gaps) You'll see the shortcut on your right. Once you've taken it stay to the left to continue along it and avoid branching on to the main path too soon (look for an opening between the girders). If you can stay on the upper path long enough watch for some flags. Race between them to launch yourself onto a disconnected and smoother area of track that will merge you back on to the main path, hopefully ahead of the other racers.

After you clear the area with the meteors, watch your map for a detour on the right in the dusty area. It's a rough area, but if you use your thrusters it should gain you a nice lead. When you get to the area where the path splits three ways drop to the middle path for an easier ride. When you get to the hairpin turn take it wide to stay on the smoother path. Taking it too close will land you on a narrow, difficult to navigate path.

Coming out of the tunnel after the arches is a large boulder. Keep to the right of it to shorten your route. You'll see a pyramid shaped flow of lava as the track circles a volcano. Keeping to your left as you come around it will take you on a smoother route. Keep to the left of the triangular shaped rock that sits in the middle of the track. Stay to the left after that and take the lower route. This will bring you through a softer set of the turns. If you cleared Inferno you're just a step away from Mirror Mode: A reverse set of all the tracks. You need to place first in all the tracks to unlock it. If you've come This far I'm sure you can do it! Good Luck!! |
