At the same conference in which Miyamoto told journalists he was not working on a follow up to Zelda 64 he also managed to deliver the killer news that Nintendo are working on a new update to the Metroid series. For those of you that have not had the chance to play a Metroid title ( there have been two, one on the NES and one on the SNES) they are basically platform games set in the gritty future, you take the part of Samus- woman warrior and mercenary- in your attempt to prevent the alien metroids from taking over the world!!
At the moment noone knows anything
about the game, not even what system it will be released for!!! ( some
believe it will be one of the launch titles for the next nintendo console)
If you want to check out Samus
before this game is released she features in Super Smash Brothers
where she battles against Link.
