Banjo

Banjo is a peaceful, lazy, adventure loving honey bear who lives in Spiral
Mountain, with his sister, Tooty, and his pal, Kazooie. When Gruntilda
kidnaps Tooty, he teams up with Kazooie and sets off to come to her
rescue.

Kazooie

Kazooie, Banjo's loyal friend and sidekick, is a rare bird known as a
red crested breegull. As Kazooie proves throughout the game, red
crested breegulls tend to be trouble-makers. But to make up for it,
Kazooie is also quite useful in Banjo's quest...

Tooty

Tooty is Banjo's kid sister. One day, as she was waiting for Banjo to
wake up so they could go on an adventure, Gruntilda flew down from
her lair and kidnapped her so the ugly witch could use her new beauty-
stealing machine to absorb her beauty for herself, and leave Tooty, well,
no longer the fairest in the land.

Bottles

Bottles, being Tooty's best friend, is there to help you as best he can.
(Even though he doesn't care that much for Kazooie and her big mouth.)
He will do anything and dig anywhere, literally!!!

Gruntilda

Gruntilda has been Banjo and Kazooie's biggest rival ever since she
kidnapped Tooty. But, with the help of Bottles, Brentilda, Mumbo,
and their other friends the duo will meet along the way, they can
probably defeat her...

Brentilda

Brentilda, Gruntilda's fairy-godmother like sister, is as beautiful as
Grunty is ugly. Due to her limited magic, she is unable to confront the
old hag herself. She gives as much help as she can, telling you
about Gruntilda's distusting habits and re-filling your energy bar now
and then.

Mumbo Jumbo

Mumbo also wants Grunty defeated. He has had some meetings
with Gruntilda and has the permenently stuck mask to prove it. Grunty
has stolen his collection of Tokens and Mumbo will turn you into some
useful things if you find them for him.
