Did you hear the announcement of Sony's Emotion Engine last week? Well, I thought it was such a cheap shot at Sega.
Trying to scare Sega with numbers (of polygons) won't work. Sega's got Shenmue, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Dead or Alive 2,
SNK Vs. Capcom, Soul Calibur, etc., and it's been proven that the best games will lead the system to success. We know Dreamcast
is a successful, highly-recognized, and well-accepted machine that is kickin ass in Japan. It's all up to Sega of America and
Sega of Europe now to not f/*2! up the launch of Dreamcast.
Anyways, kudos to Sony for bringing home consoles to a new level of graphical prowess making the gap of Pentium 3's and
video games a lot farther. Playstation 2 being the stronger system of course. And don't get me wrong, I'm not against
the Playstation 2, I just think it was a desperate move of Sony to announce a system with no games hoping to get Dreamcast's
popularity away. So far, it isn't working. The industry is still involved with Dreamcast development and since Microsoft
has developed a new optimized version of Windows CE development kits for Dreamcast, companies such as Konami, Acclaim, Hudson Soft,
and Midway have pledged support for Dreamcast.
