Manga Land was created in an effort to show people the wonders of this world and that in Japan, Anime is considered an art; an art that pays off and entice young people to join this revolutionary field everyday.
In Japan it is so common to see teenagers on the buses, streets, parks, malls and almost everywhere carrying those thick, heavy books called mangas. Mangas are read for people of all ages ranging from 11 to 50 and being old is not the matter, what it counts is the inner desire that one has. Some people read mangas because they want to have a break from the routine of their work, some others read because they want to escape for a while from reality and leave aside their duties. Finally, some others prefer just to read mangas because of the placer and satisfaction they get from these fancy stories. Whatever the reason is, mangas are a good source of entertainment for many people. These comics or mangas, are true works of art which are valuable in thousand of Yens and even more when it is an especial or limited edition.
People, of course, have different opinions about mangas, some might think that they are too violent for young audiences and that promote violence among teenagers, others might find a particular manga obscene and therefore, should be censored, but I believe everyone has his/her own criteria to decide whether or not a manga is good for his/her taste. What people may think is bad or good is up to the reader's mind. I only have to say this, mangas are an incredible thing that Japanese have to share with the rest of the world and that I don't regret, not even for a minute, to have known this magnificent oriental art.
