- 800 BE GUE --The Last Pre-Quendorian tribe, the
Mithicans, vanish mysteriously, in some horrible goof-up!
- 400 BE GUE -- A long and violent war breaks out
between the cities of Borphee and Pheebor over the
re-naming of a river. The remains of the city of Pheebor
can still be seen from the now Borphee river. (A very
good name!)
- 0 GUE -- The Quendorian Empire is found when peace is
brought to the warring kingdoms Galepath and Mareilon by
Entharion the Wise.
- 353 GUE -- Yoruk is born. He becomes a Mashed Potato
merchant, and soon becomes very bored.
- 380 GUE -- Yoruk builds a boat and sails the great
sea in search of more stuff. He discovers the Eastlands,
and while there, learns the secrets of Deep Magic from
the Devil himself.
- 406 GUE -- Yoruk decides to live in a cave in the
forest of Egreth. He starts writing "The Books of Saint
Yoruk." By a remarkable coincidence, he is declared a
saint later that very year.
- 425 GUE -- Yoruk dies, leaving behind his skull that
contains all of the secrets of Deep Magic.
- 723 GUE -- Dimwit Flathead is born. This tyrant will
later become "The most wretched ruler Quendor has ever
seen."
- 770 GUE -- Dimwit Flathead assumes to throne, the
first of his siblings to become king. (The Twelve
Flatheads)
- 783 GUE -- Flood Control Dam #3 is constructed. This
dam cost 37 Million Zorkmids to build, and holds back the
water of the mighty frigid river. The purpose of the dam
is questionable though, because it never rains
underground.
- 789 GUE -- The Flatheads are cursed by the wizard
Megaboz in protest of a 1400 square bloit statue of
Dimwit. All of the twelve Flatheads died that year.
- 883 GUE -- The curse of Megaboz is finally brought to
an end when the kingdom of Flatheadia is reduced to a
small white house.
- 913 GUE -- Antharia Jack's career begins with the hit
series, The Z Team. This series was created by Syovar,
self declared King of Zork, as a way of highlighting his
own military career.
- 931 GUE -- The cube of Foundation is aquired by
Antharia Jack. He apparently lost it in a game of Grue,
Fire, Water to a woman who also stole his heart.
- 945 GUE -- A group of four alchemists set out to
search for the secret of eternal life. They vanish and
are never heard from again. Shortly after, strange events
begin around the Grey Mountains and Desert River
provinces. Syovar declares these areas the "Forbidden
Lands".
- 948 GUE -- A nameless adventurer discovers the ruins
of the Kingdom of Flatheadia. He/She embarks on an
adventure into the Great Underground Empire, and
eventually become the Dungeon Master, keeper of all magic
in Zork.
- 949 GUE -- A nameless adventurer is sent into the
Forbidden Lands to search out the four missing
alchemists. This adventurer rights the wrongs of the
land, and brings together two lost loves.
- 950 GUE -- The skull of Yoruk goes missing. Last
reported to be in the possession of a gang of Grues under
the small white house.
- 966 GUE -- Dalboz of Gurth is named as the newest
Dungeon Master. Unfortuneately, shortly after, all magic
is taken from Zork. This same year, the Coconut of
Quendor is put aboard a ship by the Enchantress Y'Gael.
It's destination is unknown.
- 967 GUE -- The ship carrying the coconut dissappears
in the region near the dragon, Archipelago.
- 1033 GUE -- Mir Yannick, Dalboz's G.U.E. Tech
roommate, discovers the long missing Totemizer Machine.
This device allows him to rise from the position of
Junior Executive Maniacal Zealot to Senior Executive
Maniacal Zealot when he demonstrates the machine's
effectiveness on his supervisor.
- 1037 GUE -- Griff meets Dalboz in the forest. Griff
is to search for the Time Tunnels and try to collect the
lost artifacts of Zork. He is captured and Totemized by
Yannick, however, and dumped down a well.
- 1043 GUE -- Brog, a half-witted member of the already
half-witted Brogmoid species, sneaks into the
Inquisition's headquarters, turns on the Totemizer, and
crawls inside. He is dumped by the gates of Hades.
- 1046 GUE -- Yannick rises to the position of Vice
President of Unreasoning Zeal, who is second only to the
Grand Inquisitor. Later, the Grand Inquisitor
accidentally hits himself repeatedly with a blunt
instrument until he dies during a meeting with Yannick.
- 1047 GUE -- Mir Yannick becomes the new Grand
Inquisitor.
- 1048 GUE -- Syovar III accidentally strangles
himself, according to the Grand Inquisitor, who was the
only witness. Yannick takes command of Quendor and the
Frobozz Magic Company. (Renaming it Frobozz Electric)
- 1050 GUE -- Mir Yannick finally meets with Dalboz the
Dungeon Master. A battle ensues, and Yannick emerges
bald, but the winner. Dalboz is dead.
- 1052 GUE -- Dalboz's spirit finds his way into a
rusty old lamp under a dock in the town of Port Foozle.
- 1058 GUE -- A member of the magic resistance, Lucy
Flathead is caught by Undersecretary Wartle defacing
Inquisition propaganda. She is sentanced to Totemization
when Yannick learns of her descendancy, and of being the
heir to the Empire of Quendor.
- 1066 GUE -- An adventurer is sent out on a quest into
an "Undiscovered Underground" portion of the Great
Underground Empire. For his/her bravery, he/she recieves
a half-day off.
- 1067 GUE -- An adventurer stops the Grand
Inquisitor's plan of using mass media to brainwash the
citizens of Quendor. All with the help of a Dungeon
Master, a Griff, a Brogmoid, and a Flathead. The
adventurer is named the new dungeon master, and Lucy
Flathead assumes her rightful place as Queen of Quendor.
Antharia Jack finally catches up with Lucy, the woman of
his dreams.
- 1???-1??? GUE -- The magic wars, lead by the Grand
Inquisitor's Ghost, ravage the land, and set the
Eastlands against the Westlands.
- 1647 GUE -- An adventurer wins a sweepstakes held by
Illuminite, Transluminite, and Leisure (IT&L;). The
adventurer stops a creature known as Morphius, and
restores the town of Shanbar to it's former glory.
