Winds of the Heart

Sitting in a wind-blown haze
remembering what has come to pass
Moments of indecision
destroyed what could have been
What do wasteful contemplation
and blundering logic
have to do with reality
when reality is nothing but what you make of it?
One must live in the present
not in ponderous possibilities
So go forth and venture your love
There is another kind of truth
than what you've figured or heard
What the mind does not know
the heart does not ignore
What the heart does know
the mind shuns and tries to forget
Why fight it? Live with your emotions
Kiss and love through your heart-
it holds the truth, the ultimate wisdom
