This is my wife and the love of my life, Gloria. She's creatively talented, funny, smart, fiery and she makes me happy.
Don't start getting nauseous from the sappiness here. Gloria is the centre of my life, and has been since we started seeing each other. All my other plans - all my other activities, hobbies, my work - it's all peripheral. Only Gloria is at the centre.
Understanding that is the key to understanding me. I have many friends whom I love dearly, and many relatives - especially now that I'm married - that I love also. But Gloria has sole precedence in my life. And she always will, until we are blessed with children.
A word of advice: love is a hell of a risk. You risk getting your feelings hurt, humiliation, financial and emotional loss. You risk losing friends and alienating family. But it's worth it. The risk is so high because the reward is so great, and if your friends and family are loving and understanding, then any problems that appear will not be so great that they cannot be overcome. I will now step down from my soapbox.
Gloria is a qualified and talented fashion designer and milliner. The dresses worn by herself and her bridesmaids at our wedding were made to her patterns.
