Wanderers in the digital wastelands are welcome here. Welcome to Adam's Web
Site, now renamed The Lost Page. Last update: December 15, 2000.
What you'll find here:
Stuff about me, what I think, and what I do; about Gloria, the woman I love and share my life with; photographs of our wedding; stuff about the Role-Playing Games which I write and play; and about my family (this bit isn't written yet, which is why there's no link). There's my choices of other web-realms to voyage to.
I'd appreciate it if you'd leave some mark of your visit in my guest book. If you like, have a look and see what others have written - from the merely
amusing to the, well, look for yourself. Links are a bit further down.
I have recently redecorated this site using some art by Laurens Alma-Tadema (1836-1912) and John William Waterhouse (1849-1917), artists of the Pre-Raphaelite Movement. They're two of my favourite dead artists. Some equally cool but less dead artists have permitted me to print their artwork, which - because it's game-related - is accessible through my Gaming Resources. Actually, this is a complete lie - until I hack it into shape, this page will remain 404'd.
Lately I've been rediscovering an old love - poetry. Not namby-pamby poets, of course: Kipling and Banjo Patterson.
Some stuff by Kipling: In particular I'm moved by how well Kipling articulated the particular ills of the soldier - as he does in these three poems, Gentlemen-Rankers, The Centurion's Song, and Tommy Atkins.
Some stuff by Banjo Patterson. Nothing else reads with the dignity and character of his work. You cannot speak of Patterson without mentioning The Man From Snowy River or Clancy of the Overflow. But I laugh till I hurt when I read Been There, and my pride at once having been a Territorian compels me to include Still The Territory.
I wasn't going to bother with a list of the links I think are cool, for the same reason I'm not going to unburden my soul or reveal things about myself
which I wouldn't talk about in any other conversation with strangers; but some of my friends also have presences on the web, and I have included links to their pages, which are damn cool. Some, in fact, may be too cool (yes, I'm looking at you, Ant). The link page has been updated as of June 2000!
Why not stop by my guest book and leave me a piece of your mind... assuming you can spare one :)
Be more than just a number on a counter!

If you have something to say to me, go right ahead. Don't be coy. I'm especially interested in hearing from others who share my interests, or far-flung relatives.
