Thank God I don't have to get up early today, or else I'll have to face that dumb clock again. This time I can take things a little slower, unlike my early-morning-rush I usually have. I decide to have a breakfast of honey oats. Yum Yum. I'm still a little tired though...nothing a little shower can't fix! Yawn...
What a refreshing shower that was! I just went to check my email and Nic sent me a note saying that she has NO IDEA what code Karl was using, probably a mixture of 2 or more codes. She told me that it'll take a week to solve it at the very least. Guess that means Dan will have to keep checking on Karl. Hope Karl's doing fine.
Guess what? I've decided to do some cleaning up! My flat's a total mess - the only mess Daz can't clean up - and after the discovery of the notebook yesterday, I've decided to sort everything out. All the rooms are relatively tidy, actually...it's the bedroom that needs a redo. Come in, let me take you around.
In my bedroom is a study table, a bookshelf, a wardrobe, a radio and a double-sized bed. This was actually the previous occupant's furniture, but I wanted to save money so I didn't replace anything. I wanted a single bed but this was the best offer I got. Look at it! It's a haystack out here!
OK, so the books go here, the cassettes go here, and...what's this? Looks bright and shiny...OH MY GOD! I can't believe what I found! A gold chain with a key dangling from it! And inside my paper-filled drawer! But where did it come from? Let me think...uh oh...
You see, when I was the prison's helper, I have tried to run away many times, often trying to bring Karl along with me. One day the boss took out this chain with the key on it and threw it away into the field. The boss said that the chain he threw was the chain with the key to Karl's cell. Somewhere around midnight, I sneaked onto the field and searched every inch of the area for the chain. I found it and left it in my drawer, not remembering its use until now. Oh if only the others knew! Better keep this one next to the notebook. No, it's better if I just wear the chain and place the notebook in my pocket, just in case. The chain's big enough to slip around my head easily.
I had lunch a few hours later and I can't seem to take my mind off the chain, which has the key right under my shirt coz it's kinda heavy. I'm secretly wishing for a time when I can tell the gang all about this. Unfortunately, Nic is busy on the code, Dan's gone off to the dungeon and God knows where Daz is. I tried to call him just now but my phone suddenly went kaput. Dunno why...
Day becomes night and soon it's 9 p.m. I just had dinner and now have no clue what to do. I just decided to lie down for a while when suddenly...
