"Darren! Would you come here for a minute?" called out Daniel to his bandmate. Their earlier band Red Edge had ceased to be as soon as Darren joined, and Daniel and Darren were on their own.
"Yeah, sure, Jonesy," replied Darren, peeling away a banana. "Anything's the matter?"
"What do you suggest would be a good band name?" asked Daniel, holding a pen and a piece of paper. "We can't send in our demo without a band name, can we?"
"Guess not," replied Darren, sitting beside Daniel. "Hmm...I would suggest Red Edge..."
"Oh please don't remind me of that old band!" said Daniel. "Try something newer...how about Bliss?"
"Used in Britain," said Darren. "How about Dante?"
"People will think YOU'RE Dante," answered Daniel. "Hmm...I have this name on my head, but what the hell was it?"
"How about Savage Garden?" asked Darren, out of the blue.
"Where on Earth did THAT come from?" asked Daniel. Darren was trying hard to come up with an excuse - he thought up the name by accident - when he realised that the books by his favourite author, Anne Rice, mentioned 'Savage Garden' a lot.
"Oh, just from a book," replied Darren. "So how is it?"
"It sounds strangely familiar, but good!" said Daniel. "Savage Garden it is!" He then went to his keyboard and played a tune for Darren to listen.
"What song is that?" asked Darren, transfixed.
"Oh, just something I wrote...something titled I Want You...you likes?" replied Daniel.
"Well, it's cool...but it does sound REALLY familiar..." replied Darren. How true he was...
