"What's more important though," said Karl, who was quiet for the whole time, "is how did the two of you get swapped in the first place...." Darren & Daniel agreed. Indeed, they still don't know how they became each other. "Could it be the fact that we are staying in the hotel's replacement for room #13? That could happen, y'know...." wondered Nicole, the superstitious one of the group, "the snow in summer, you two being each other and doing what each other does....isn't it just ODD?"
"Hmm....you could be right," said Darren, "but then it could just be a coincedence, y'know..." All of them sighed with boredom on their faces. For the next few days, they hung around in the hotel, occasionnaly going out the play with the snow. Their manager just sighed - Savage Garden could get a little childish sometimes.
One night, 5 days after the incident, something strange happened in the guys' room. A flash of light entered the room window and made some music, which sounds strangely like a mix of Carry On Dancing and Violet. The room was sparkling all over, but amazingly, neither Darren or Daniel woke up. They just slept as soundly as anyone could be. What was even stranger though was what happened the day after.
"Yawn....", yawned Daniel as he got up. He got up from his bed and headed for the bathroom. When he looked into the mirror, he was pleasantly surprised.
He was back into himself!
"YIPPIE! YAHOO!" screamed Daniel, who was jumping all over. Darren heared all the noise and got up to see what was happening. "What is it with you, Jonesy?" asked Darren, half sleepy. Daniel, seeing his 'yawn-good-night-i'm-going-to-sleep-now' face, sprayed some cold water on him to wake him up. "Look at the mirror, Darren! Look!" squealed Daniel and pushed Darren towards the mirror, then towards himself.
"OH MY GAWD!" screamed Darren, "we're back!" Anna-Maria, Nicole and the others ran over to their room to see what all the commotion was about. When they saw the look on Darren & Daniel's faces, they got the message. Now ALL of them was in a celebratory mood.
"Look out at the window, y'all! The snow's gone!" screamed Ben, looking at the clear blue sky. Indeed, the snow went as quickly as it appeared. The concert was on once again, and everyone, from the band to the fans, had a fabulous time. They were sad to leave New York, though, and promised to come back someday.
On the airplane, Darren waas thinking about something and whispered it to Daniel. "Y'know Jonesy, I wonder what would happen if Ben & Karl changed places with each other....." Suddenly they heard a scream from Ben & Karl.
"Hey! I'm the real Ben, not you!" "Yeah, but why do you look a lot like me, the real Karl?"
Darren & Daniel thumped their heads. "NOT AGAIN......"
