This Side Of Me
Chapter Four

About two minutes passed before Daniel pulled himself away from Emma and realised what had happened. Seeing Emma's veil missing made him remember the curse, and he frantically asked Emma if he was still alive.

"Well, of course you are, darling," answered Emma, smiling. "You removed the veil and yet you're still alive...you're the curse-breaker, hon..." Daniel was surprised. He? The curse-breaker? At first he didn't know whether to be happy or sad, but seeing Emma's face made him realise the correct choice.
"I don't know why people froze to death after seeing you," said Daniel. "For you are the most beautiful lady the world has ever seen...you are my special star..." Daniel almost kissed Emma again when they heard someone shouting.

"Emma? Daniel? Where are you?" went a worried voice in the air. Daniel and Emma walked away from the tree towards the direction of the voice, which was in front of the ballroom doors. The King of QuoiJinn couldn't recognize his daughter at first, but after Emma produced her veil, the king remembered everything.

"Emma! My daughter! The curse has broken!" exclaimed the QuoiJinn king, excitedly. "But who could have done it?" He then looked at Daniel, who was standing quietly beside Emma, looking down at the ground. The king then enveloped Daniel into a great big hug, scaring the daylights out of the prince.
"You're a hero, my son!" said Emma's father. "I must tell this to your father immediately!" From out of nowhere, King Darren appeared right beside the trio. The king of QuoiJinn told King Darren everything, which had him surprised.
"You mean...Daniel, is this true?" asked Darren. Daniel nodded modestly, afraid that his father may scold him. Lucky for him, the case was quite the opposite.
"Daniel...I knew you were a miracle-worker but this is the biggest miracle of all!" Darren said to his son. "I always knew my son would make history - now he already has!" The kings of Savage Garden and QuoiJinn exchanged a few words before the QuoiJinn ruler remembered something important. He removed a blue bottle from his pocket and uncorked it, making some gold dust spill out.

"What's that?" asked everyone else.
"This is stardust," answered The king of QuoiJinn. "When the wicked witch placed the curse on Emma, she gave me this bottle and told me that if the curse should ever be broken, I was to sprinkle this stuff on you two."
"What will happen to me and Daniel?" asked Emma, worried. She wasn't very confident with anything that had to do with the wicked witch.
"It will turn you two into stars up in the sky," answered the king. "I'm sorry but I have to do this...it's important..."
"Will I ever get to see my son again?" asked Darren. His son was, to him, the most important thing in the world.
"I'm not very sure," said the QuoiJinn king, sadly. "What I know is...you'll always see them, up in the sky, looking down on us all night long." Both kings gave their blessings to their children and watched with tears in their eyes as their beloved children felt the stardust and were carried away onto the clouds up to the sky, where they would be immortalized as sparkling stars. As they made their way up, Daniel turned towards Emma and looked deep into her eyes - eyes now sparkling with stardust. Only one thing was evident in the young lovers' minds as their lips locked and they made their way into starry space...

I want to move in time with you,
I want to breath in rhyme with you,
I want to stitch my clothes in sin,
And in the dark,
I want to find the door to go within...
I am not afraid to let you see this side of me...
