Vision of Escaflowne is a great anime, one of
my faves. It's about the adventures of Hitomi, on a planet
named Gaea in which you can see the Earth and Moon in the
night sky. Hitomi gets to this place by an implusive young
prince named Van, who is chasing a dragon to become the
next king, of his country Fanelia, and to summon the
legendary mecha, Escaflowne. When Van returns home a war
breaks out and Hitomi finds that her semi-prediction power
has grown on this new world. Now with her help, Van, Allen
Schezar, Princess Millenia, Gaddes, and Merlu will struggle
to defeat the Zaibach army and the sadistic General
Dilandu, from changing the fate of Gaea.
Rurouni Kenshin is a great anime about the Mejin era in Japan, and the atonement of
Hitokori Battousai, Himura Kenshin. Kenshin was the
legendary asassin swordmaster, who led the Ishshin Ishi to
victory to bring about the beginning of the Mejin Dynasty in Japan, but during the final battles in Kyoto he walks away never to been seen or heard from until ten years later. When he meets Kamiya Karou, Miojyin Yahiko, and Sagara Sanosuke, who help him protect people and atone for his past sins; of all the lives Kenshin took those years ago. He now vows not to kill and carries a special sword where the blade is reversed called a sakabatou as to not kill in the heat of the battle. This is a great anime, that has cool sword fighting scenes, music, cool plots, villians, and of course alot of comedy. This is my fave anime.
Bastard!! is an anime that is heavily
influenced by the American Heavy Metal bands. This story
centers around the transmigrated wizard Dark Snchiedar, who
15 years ago was trapped by a cleric into a young boy,
named Luche Len Len, before he and his subordinates finish
taking over the whole world. Now 15 years later Dark
Schneidar's subordinates decide they want to take over the
world and to do that they need to break four shields, that
will release the god of destruction. Tia Noto Yoko decides
to break the spell that confides Dark Schniedar, in Luche,
so he can go teach his subordinates, a new way of handling
things and getting them back on track.
Fushigi Yuugi is anime about an ancient
Chinese book called "Legend of the Four Gods" that when
opened and read becomes an incantation itself transporting
you to a new world. This is just what has happend with
Miaka and her bestfriend Yui who were transported to this
strange world together, but end up enemies. Miaka becomes
the Suzako No Miko of the South and Yui becomes Seiyruu No
Miko of the East, the miko's job is to gather her own
perpectives Seishi, to protect her and help summon that
countries animal god. This anime has it all bestfriends
pited against each other, death, rape, love, fighting, and
comedy, no da.
