This game is badass. You need to play it.
Now that GW is on Toonami, this is going to be a sought-after game. Get it first from me.

Hey people. It's the Goku again, and here, as the title and header graphic says, is the ROM room. I have a collection of SNES (or Super Famicom for the people in the know about the Japanese name) ROMS for download free of charge. These games have never been, and sadly, may never be released in the great US of A. These ROMS can de downloaded from me because I am just going to be nice like that, I guess. I have the Japanese versions of the RPG's, and the Japanese and French versions of the fighting games 1-3. I also have the new "Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension" (Not really new, it was made in 1996. See game description for what I'm talking about.) thanks to PlanetNamek.com. Look for more to appear later on, 'cause you never know when I may find something REALLY good...keep it real in the meantime. Right click on the links and select "Save Link As" or "Save Target As" to save the stuff I have for you. :o)

Right-click the selection that corresponds to your choice, and pick "Save File As..." or "Save Target As..." to save the game. You will need the emulator to play the games.
IF THERE ARE ANY DEAD LINKS, PLEASE REPORT THEM.

This is the first DBZ fighting game for the SNES. It's ok, considering it was made in 1992. You start by defeating Piccolo in the Tenkachi Budokai, and work you way through the Android Saga, and stopping right before Cell. The graphics are not what I would call "substandard", but they definitely are a sign of the times. The gameplay takes a little time to get used to, and I would suggest that if you are a DBZ SB series beginner that you play either SB2 or SB3. The play control is better in the sequels, but this one just has a quality of the old-school to it.

Characters: Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Frieza, Android #16, Android #18, Android #21 (Dr. Gero), Cell (not in perfect form)

This is one of my faves. I love the story mode in this, and I love the character choices you get. This one takes place in the Cell Saga, and works its way through Bojack and the Space Pirates (Movie #9, for those who are more well-versed than others). A bonus plus is, with the French version, you do not have to put in a code to unlock Goku and Brolli. Sweetness, baby. The play control is top-notch, the graphics are supremely better than SB1, and it's just more fun to play. :o)

Characters: Gohan, Vegeta, Mirai (Future) Trunks, Piccolo, Cell (perfect form), Female Space Pirate (sorry, but I don't know her name!), Bojack.
Secret Characters: Goku, Brolli.
Special Fighter Appearance By: Mr. Satan (not playable)

Oh joy. This is true DBZ goodness. No matter how quirky the controls are in any of the games, if you are a true DBZ fan, you will get a kick out of this 'un. This one takes place in the Buu Saga, and the graphics are a good step up from SB2. There is one small drawback though...NO STORY MODE. You just play the CPU in arranged matches or in a tournament style. While that kinda sucks, the play control, sound, music and overall fun experience more than makes up for it. You get Goku in this one, and you still have to put in the code to access Mirai Trunks, just like the Japanese version. This game, simply put, whips ass.

Characters: Goku, Majin Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Chibi (little) Trunks, Dabula, Kaioshin, Fat Buu.
Secret Characters: Mirai Trunks.

FAQ

This is a DBZ fan's wildest dream. The game was thought to be too complex to steal the ROM out of it because of a processor chip inside the Game Pak that enhanced the SNES's abilities. It used to not be feasible for some reason i just don't know about. But it's here now!!!

The graphics look like a friggin' PlayStation game. It's NUTS. The play control has been tweaked a little, and you will have to get used to some different ways of playing. For instance, you don't have a "life meter" and a "power meter". They are one and the same in this one, kids. You have to keep a decent charge in order not to take too much damage, and you restore your health once it gets low enough. Throwing projectiles still reduces your power, so you have to watch your meter when your life is low. It takes some getting used to, but it adds another element of strategy to the mix. Great animation, sound, music, backgrounds, but that doesn't mean jack to this one thing...THE RETURN OF STORY MODE!!! This one begins at Frieza, and ends at Majin Buu. This game whips the Shenlong-sized ass, people. I only have it in Japanese, though.

Characters: Goku, Majin Vegeta, SSJ3 Gotenks (yeah!), Gohan, Vegetto (HELL yeah!), Piccolo, Fat Buu, Majin Buu, Frieza (perfect form when fighting, but check out his selection animation!), Cell (perfect form).

FAQ

This is the first DBZ RPG released, and just like SB1, the grapics are DEFINITELY a sign of the times. The game is not really that great, and only hardcore fans are going to get into this one. And you should be able to read Japanese pretty well.

Well, this here game spans from Goku's training on King Kai's planet to fighting Frieza. That's all I can really say, since I don't play a lot of the RPGs, I usually play the fighters because they fit better into the DBZ mold. An RPG of a XenoGears type would suit the series better, but I don't make the games, so my opinion evidently doesn't matter much...

THIS SYNOPSIS BORROWED FROM PLANETNAMEK.COM

As with the first SFC RPG, this game is a combination of two Famicom games' story lines, Shenron no Nazo and Daimao Fukatsu. It begins with Goku's rather odd meeting with Bulma. After that the game follows the story line of Dragon Ball from Pilaf's plan to rule the world and Goku's battle with the Red Ribbon army to his rivalry with Piccolo Daimao. Also, as with Super Saiya Densetsu this game features enhanced graphics and sound. However, unlike Super Saiya Densetsu, this game only borrows the storyline of two Famicom games and is not a port of them.

This game starts at the 23rd Tenkachi Budokai. You first have to beat Piccolo and become the world champion. The game then follows the DBZ storyline through the Freeza Saga. It's pretty much the same style game as HSSG1.
