Hello Everyone! I just got out of school for a couple of weeks and I’m ready to type up a storm. This story might seem OOC, so DEAL WITH IT! Also, this has YAOI, so there. Don't tell me I didn't warn you, cuz I did. And there is a lot of dialogue in here, so I'm sorry if you can't figure out who is saying what. Go ahead and flame me if you can't understand it.
Oh yeah, and all characters belong to their original owners, blah blah blah, disclaimers and that kind of crap apply, yada, yada...
It had been a long time since Hiei had been to the Koorime Village. Too long. He held the tear gem of his mother's close to his heart as he ran through the forest. Eventually, he reached the village. A light, happy voice came to his ears. "Isn't it wonderful?" Hiei grunted. "Hn. It's nice." Yukina took him by the hand. "Come on brother," she said. "Let's go visit."
They walked around for awhile, then they came to the house that Yukina lived in before she was kidnapped. "Aunt Kione? It's me Yukina!" Kione walked out. "Yukina! I'm so glad to see you! I thought you were dead!" They embraced. "Who's your friend?" Yukina replied, "This is my brother, Hiei." Kione stepped back. "A forbidden child?" "Yes... Is something wrong?" Yukina asked. Kione remained quiet for a few moments, then spoke. "Forbidden Children still aren't allowed in the village. I will keep him here, if you want, but the Council still doesn't like Forbidden Children." Hiei snorted. "Oniisan! Anyway, we're just staying for a little while. We'll be leaving soon." The two Koorime stayed at Kione's house for tea, then they left. "It was good to see Aunt Kione again. Hiei?" Hiei was staring out into space, thinking. "Oniisan...?"
They reached the Ningenkai gate and walked through. There on the other side was Kuwabara, Yusuke and Kurama, waiting for their return. Yukina left Hiei's side and hugged Kuwabara. "How was it dear?" "It was great Kuwa-chan." Kuwabara returned the hug. Yusuke smiled at the couple. They had only been married for a month, but it seemed like years. Hiei walked over to Kurama. "Well Hiei, what was the Koorime village like?" "I'll tell you tonight."
In his apartment, Kurama sighed. He knew Hiei was out sitting on the tree, but he wouldn't come in. What's wrong? Kurama decided he had waited long enough, took off his clothes (Hold on a sec. *Drool...* Okay, I'm done) and went to bed.
Hiei sat out on a tree limb, thinking. Flashback: "Forbidden children still aren't allowed here." "Hn." He looked up to find that the fox's light had been turned off. "Guess he got impatient. I think I'll go surprise him..."
Kurama awoke to find warm hands caressing every inch of his body. "Hiei?" Hiei just grunted his greeting and continued his caressing. They made love, SEVERAL times, before going to sleep. (Sorry, I can't write lemons. I think you can imagine it yourself.)
The next morning, a strange nagging sensation creeped to Hiei's mind. Then he felt it. A strange youki lurking outside. Without bothering to get dressed, he jumped outside. There, on a branch was an ugly youkai, who was obviously enjoying Kurama's body sprawled out on the sheets. "How dare you look at MY fox!" Hiei yelled. The other youkai just smiled and drew out a sword. Realizing that he had left his sword inside, Hiei began to create the Ensatsu Ken attack when all of a sudden, there was a flash of black and the youkai split into two parts. Then it vanished without a trace. Hiei quickly started looking for the other being. But he didn't need to look hard. There, standing on another tree branch was a girl. She had the same black clothes that Hiei has, but was a little shorter (Like about Yukina's height) and she also carried a sword. "Hey kid," she yelled. She threw him a black cloak. "Here's a tip. Put on some clothes BEFORE you fight, ne?" With that said, she disappeared. Hiei grumbled something before returning inside.
"Hiei? What's wrong?" Hiei decided for once to give in to Kurama's coaxings and tell him what's wrong. He told Kurama about what had just happened. "Oh. That is strange. But she is right though." Kurama said. "Right about what?" "You should put some clothes on before you fight." Hiei got irritated and threw himself at Kurama. They were pleasantly occupied until lunch.
The girl that had just helped Hiei was named Terra. She was also a forbidden child, but of a different sort. Her mother was a Koorime and her father... her father was a youko! This could prove to be a problem later on...
After lunch, Hiei left Kurama's apartment to find the girl. Kurama couldn't help but feel a little jealous, but he knew that Hiei only wanted to question the girl. But still, he had that nagging feeling that something big was about to happen...
Hiei scoured the city, looking for that strange ki. It was very unique. It felt like Yukina's ki, and Kurama's ki all rolled into one. It was quite odd. He kept searching. He didn't know why he was searching for this girl, but he did it anyway. Hiei finally decided to use his Jagan and he found her, near the park. He ran towards her.
Terra was resting in the park, after she had "rescued" that boy. Strange, she thought. Why did that kid have Koorime ki?" She was about to go out and question him when he appeared right in front of her.
"AH!"
"Hn. Shut up. I have some things to ask you."
"Fire away."
"Who are, and what makes you think you just barge in on my fight?"
"I am Terra, and I barge in whenever I like. Who do you think you are questioning me like this?"
"I am Hiei, the Forbidden Child."
"I'm a Forbidden child also."
"NANI!?!?"
Both of them just stared each other down for awhile. Then both of them sensed a familiar ki. "Kurama?" Kurama looked up and saw them, then jumped up next to Hiei. "Hiei, who is this? Is this the girl you were looking for?" "Yes." Terra just gasped and fainted. Kurama started to help her, but Hiei stopped him.
"No, it might be a trap."
"But what if she does need help."
"Oh well."
"HIEI!"
"Hn. Help her if you want, but don't expect me to help you when she attacks."
Kurama bent down to look at Terra, when she opened her eyes and said quietly, "Father..."
Kurama quickly backed off. She said again, "Father..." Hiei looked amused. "Hn. She thinks you're her father."
"I could be..."
"NANI?!?"
Kurama started to explain. "A long time ago, maybe about 300 years ago, I fell in love with a Koorime. We made love, then I left her, thinking that I was done with her. But I came back after a while, wanting more loving, and found out that she was pregnant. She gave birth to two children, and clone of herself, and a forbidden child. But unlike you, she's part Youko instead of part fire demon. Hence the ears." Kurama pointed out Terra's ears, which looked human enough, but they were pointed and somewhat furry. "She doesn't have a tail though," Hiei said. "She's only part youko, and I'm still not sure if I'm her father or not." Hiei facefaulted. "You don't know? How can you not know!?! She's uttering the words 'Father'! I think she's right!" Hiei was fuming for some reason that Kurama couldn't understand. Terra's eyes fluttered open and Hiei finally realized that she had golden eyes. Hiei decided that she did look like Youko Kurama, a little bit. Terra gasped. "You... You can't be my father. My father's a youko." Kurama stepped back and shifted to Youko form. Terra's eyes bulged out. "What...! You're my father?" Kurama shrugged. "I guess so." Terra then busted out her sword. "Then I'll kill you for abandoning me and my mother."
Kurama took another step back. "What? Hey, I was a mean youko back then. I'm sorry about your mother, and I really shouldn't have left you. But I didn't know how to really love, but I know now..." Kurama glanced at Hiei lovingly. Hiei just shook off the glance, but there was a trace of a blush on his face. Terra looked at the two lovers. "Hn. I shoulda known you would ditch a woman for a man. Oh well. Looks like I'll have to kill you both." Terra jumped up and disappeared. Hiei immediately drew out his sword and placed it in ready position. He sensed her ki going everywhere, surrounding them. Hiei had to protect his fox from this demon. He sensed the strongest area of ki and sliced at it. "Ha! You missed, kid." Hiei quickly dodged her blow. "Huh. He's fast," Terra commented as she noticed that Kurama was out in the open. "Hiiiiii YAAHHHH!" Terra screamed as her sword fell onto Kurama's back...
"AAAHHHHH!" She fell back down, a big slash across her waistline. "Hiei! Are you okay?" Hiei just looked at Terra with fire in his eyes, and his hand. "Hiei, don't kill her!" Hiei turned around. Kurama was giving him too many damn shocks. "NANI!?!?" "She may have tried to kill me, but she's still my daughter. You wouldn't want me killing your children, would you?" Hiei just snorted, but gave in to Kurama's request. Kurama then shifted back to human form and grew some vines to tie up Terra. "We'll take her to Genkai's."
At Genkai's temple, Yukina slowly healed Terra, while Kurama told the others (Yusuke, Kuwabara, Shizuru, Keiko and Pu) what happened. "So it turns out that I've got a kid. Weird, ne?" The others just gaped. "So, this koorime is your kid, meaning that she's part youko..." Genkai said. "That means that she might have empathic powers." Everyone gaped some more at Genkai's words. Terra began to stir. "Huh? I'm not dead. What the...! Let me go!" She started to struggle against the vines. "Gee Hiei, she's almost as feisty as you!" Kurama joked while Yukina tried to calm her down. "Terra, TERRA! Calm down. It's okay, we're here to help." Terra spit at her. "If you want to help me, then kill the red-haired ningen."
Yukina just looked at Kurama and said, "What did you do to her Kurama?" "Nothing! I just... Okay, so I abandoned her and her mother. But that was a long time ago. I can make up for it now, can't I?" Yukina looked back at Terra. "Look, it's not his fault for leaving you. You don't have to kill him. He was a youko, and your mother probably knew that youkos aren't really... loyal." Terra grunted. "Sure, whatever. Just untie me." Yukina looked up at Kurama. Kurama began to untie the vines when Hiei took his hand. "What?" Hiei said, "Leave it. She might try to kill you again." "Hiei, you have her sword. Don't worry about me." "Yes Hiei-san, don't worry. I think she is a nice child, she just needs to learn to trust us." Terra spoke up. "I trust you, Yukina. I just don't trust the rest of them." She looked at the others, especially Hiei and Kurama. "My mother took care of you when your mother was killed. She dumped me in the river, just because I was a forbidden child and she didn't want to be killed." Yukina gasped. "What is it Yukina-chan?" Kuwabara asked. "Ki... Kione is your mother!?!?" "Yes she is. She doesn't remember me though. It's been about 300 years."
Yukina thought back to her childhood, and thought back to a story that Kione used to tell her.... "She didn't forget about you. I remeber her telling me about a youko that she loved once, and how she had children. But she always said they both ran away." Terra drew her head up. "Both? I have a twin???" Hiei walked up to her. "Hn. Didn't you know? When Koorimes reproduce that way, they create twins, usually." Terra just glared at him and started to talk again. "I have to find my twin. Yukina, will you help me?" "Of course I will. And the others will help you too. Right guys?" Yusuke, Kuwabara, Keiko and Shizuru all cheered. "Yeah! We'll help you Terra." All of a sudden, they felt the temperature go up about 10 degrees. "Hiei...?" Hiei was fuming (literally) and shouted, "DON'T YOU CARE THAT SHE TRIED TO KILL ME AND KURAMA???" Kurama patted him on the back. "It's okay Hiei, she doesn't want to kill us anymore. At least I hope..." He turned his head to Terra. "Please, Terra, don't try to kill me or Hiei. Please..."
Terra thought about this for a moment. She decided to let them live for now. She would exact her revenge later. "Alright, I won't kill either of you." For now...
