Hello Everyone! This story might seem OOC, so DEAL WITH IT! Also, this has YAOI, so there. Don't tell me I didn't warn you, cuz I did. And there is a lot of dialogue in here, so I'm sorry if you can't figure out who is saying what. Go ahead and flame me if you can't understand it. This is part two of this fic.
Oh yeah, and all characters belong to their original owners, blah blah blah, disclaimers and that kind of crap apply, yada, yada...
Terra, Hiei, Yukina and Kurama all headed for the Koorime village, while Yusuke and Kuwabara asked Koenma if he had any information, and also to question the Makai villages.
Terra, Hiei, Yukina and Kurama arrived at the Koorime village. Terra's eyes started to water up, then she fled in a whoosh of black. "Hn. She can't even come back here without running away." "Much like you, Oniisan." Hiei thought about his sister's words, while they walked towards Kione's house. Terra appeared right in front of them, suprising all of them. "Hn. I thought you left." "Oh, you're not that lucky," she replied as she knocked on the door. Kione opened the door to face a vauguely familiar demon, a human and Yukina and Hiei. "Hello... Yukina, who are your other friends? Wait, tell me after you come in."
Yukina started talking once the tea was served. "That human is Kurama. And this is his daughter... Terra." Kione gasped. "Te... Ter... Terra? My child was named Terra. But her father was a youko." Kurama decided to speak up. "Um... Kione? I..." He shifted to youko form. "Remember me?" This time, Kione fainted.
"Aunt Kione!" Kione woke up to see her dear Yukina and the other people in her house. She looked up at Terra. "Terra... Are you my daughter?" "I dunno. You tell me." Even Hiei was shocked by her words. Yukina looked at Terra. "Terra! You shouldn't say that. She is your mother. Right Kione?" Kione nodded her head. "It's just that I didn't think you would survive..." "After you threw me off into the river? I don't think anyone else would have survived. But I did, growing up alone in this world, no one to look after me. You don't know what you put me through. No one knows my pain!" Hiei stepped forward and said in a soft voice that even Kurama had never heard before, "I know. I know what you've been through. Remember, I told you that I'm a Forbidden Child also." Terra looked into his ruby eyes, then turned around to sob. Hiei walked up to her, and put his hand on her shoulder. She shrugged it off, and walked by herself to a bedroom.
Eventually, Terra cried herself to sleep, while Hiei watched over her for a while. After some time, Hiei left the room and let her sleep. He took a moment to look back at her, and felt a little sorry for her. He thought back to his childhood. He knew her pain. Kurama interupted his thoughts.
"Hiei? Can we talk?"
"Hn, what is it?"
"It's just that, um, she has more in common with you than any of us. We were thinking maybe... you could sort of adopt her. I know she's 200 years your senior, but Yukina is busy preparing for her own child and..."
"What? Yukina is pregnant?"
"We didn't know 'till she started getting very sick just now. Kione checked her and there is a child growing inside of her."
Hiei ran out of the room in a blink of an eye with Kurama following him. "Yukina! Yukina! You're pregnant?" Yukina smiled at Hiei. "Yes. You're going to be an uncle, oniisan!" Hiei almost cheered (but you know Hiei). He just smiled and congratulated Yukina. Then Terra stumbled out of the room with a solemn look on her face. "Hi everyone. Let's go look for my twin now." Kione looked at her child. The child she hadn't seen for 300 years. "Terra... your twin sister was... kidnapped."
"Her name is Gaia. A long time ago, after you were... abandoned, she was kidnapped by some people, demanding tear gems. So they kidnapped her and some other baby Koorimes, and took off. We don't know where they are, or if they're still alive." Terra was shocked. She decided that being a Forbidden Child was better than being some guy's slave. "She is still alive," Terra said. "I can feel it." Hiei knew that same feeling and looked at Yukina. "Are you sure Terra?" Kurama asked. "It's been such a long time..." "QUIET! She's still alive. You wouldn't know." Kurama backed off a little. Eek. Hard to believe that she's my kid...
Before everyone split up into teams to investigate the kidnapping, Kurama was caught by a tug on his sleave. "Hiei? What is it?" "About before, you asking me to 'adopt' her, why can't you adopt her? She is your child." "Like I said before Hiei," Kurama replied, "She has more in common with you. Besides, Kassan would freak, and would try to get me and her to get married. I don't want that." "Hn. Always thinking about your Kassan, even in the midst of danger. I never understood that motherly love crap." "It's not crap Hiei.... Oh, I'll argue with you later. Right now we have to make love." "Why?" Kurama looked at him with dreamy eyes. "Tomorrow we have to split up. So I want some loving before I go for good luck." "Kurama, we just did it last week, can't you...!" Hiei became quiet after a mound of red hair tackled him.
Terra hopped from tree to tree, followed by Hiei. They ran through the Makai forests, with Terra following her heart, since that was the only way she could go. "Do you know where you're going?" "No, but I'm sure we'll end up somewhere." Hiei sighed as he followed the stubbon Terra. "I... I can feel her presence. She's somewhere around here..." She stopped as they came to a cliff. They looked down and saw a huge castle in the middle of the valley. The valley was shaped like a big crater. "Hn. You sure she's in there?" "Yes... and no. Her presence seems to be getting weaker... Oh No!" Terra jumped from the cliff, and headed straight for the castle. Hiei yelled, "WAIT!" and jumped after her.
Kurama and Yukina took their leave of Kione, and went back to the Ningenkai. There, Kuwabara and Yusuke were told the news. "Yukina's pregnant! WHOO HOO! I'm gonna be a father!" Kuwabara took Yusuke's hands and swung him around the room. "I'm gonna be a father! I'm gonna be a father!" "Let me go you idiot, you're making me sick!" Kuwabara let Yusuke down, and Yusuke told the others of their progress. "Seems that there is a high price for tear gems, and most of the profit seems to be heading towards the northern area of Mukuro's territory." Yusuke finished with a big sigh. "But know one lives there, or so I'm told." "Mukuro? Does she know?" asked Kurama. "We dunno. We didn't ask her." said Yusuke. Then, Yusuke had an idea. "Since Yukina is pregnant, Kuwabara will have to stay here with her. Me and Kurama will go check out Mukuro's. Okay?" "Right!"
At the bottom of the crater, the castle loomed above them like a giant blanket. "Ooh. Creepy." "Hn. Let's just go and check this place out." With that, Hiei jumped into the trees to investigate. "Humph. I don't need you. I can go explore on my own." Terra ran to the other side and snuck inside an open window. Inside, Terra found an empty tub, and some towels. Must be the bathroom, she thought. She left that room, and tip-toed to where she felt large amounts of ki. She found a small door and she cautiously turned the doorknob and looked inside...
Hiei was looking into the windows, looking for one in which he could slip in, unnoticed. He found one, but it was kind of small, even for him. He quietly slipped in, and thought that he was home free, when he accidently slipped on a marble. "Ooph! Grrrrr. Where did that come from. I'm glad no one saw that." He quietly sneaked past the guards and found a room where there was large amounts of ki. He also noticed a person trying to enter the room. He put his hand on his sword, ducked into the shadows, to see what would happen.
Yusuke and Kurama walked through the Makai forest to Mukuro's palace. "Um... Mukuro?" Yusuke knocked on the doors. "Mukuro, It's me, Yusuke!" A servant opened the door. "Lord Mukuro is busy. I will lead you to her, if you wish, Lord Yusuke." "Hey Kurama, I'm a "Lord!" Pretty cool, huh?" Yusuke swaggered after the servant, with Kurama following behind. Kurama had a GIGANTIC sweatdrop. They walked up to a large pair of doors. "Lord Mukuro, Lord Yusuke and his servant are here to see you." "ME!?!? HIS servant!! I don't think so." Kurama exclaimed. "I would never!" Then they heard Mukuro's voice. "Open the doors." Kurama and Yusuke opened the doors and stepped inside. There was a huge living room (Sort of) and a desk, where Mukuro was fixing her robotic arm. "Hello Yusuke, Kurama. What do you want?" "We were wondering if you knew anything about a tear gem trade stemming from your territory." "Wouldn't know anything about it. If there is, I'll be sure to stop it." "Thanks for your time," said Kurama as he rushed Yusuke and himself out of Mukuro's palace. "Hey Kurama, why did you rush us out like that? Are you afraid of her or something?" "Well she is an S class youkai, but that wasn't it. Did you see the room past her?" "No, why?" "In that room I saw... I saw Hiei's old coat!"
Terra slowly opened the door to see what could have been emitting so much ki power. She looked inside to see hundreds, no, THOUSANDS of jars. Jars filled with tear gems. Terra gasped. Could the tear gems be emitting the ki power. No, it couldn't be. Could it? Terra snuck into the room, totally unaware that she was being watched by two hungry eyes.
