The Seiryuu Seven

On to the other major group! Seiryuu, the azure dragon of the east, is another one of our major players in "Fushigi Yuugi--" the villians! Its constellations remind me too much of the wickedness of their warriors, so I don't like looking for them. The following is a breakdown of Seiryuu's constellations.

Japanese Name Meaning Corresponding Constellation
SuBoshi Horn(s), perhaps Angle, Corner Virgo
AmiBoshi Neck, Throat Virgo
TomoBoshi Root, perhaps Shoulder or Base Libra
SoiBoshi Chamber, perhaps Breasts Scorpius
NakagoBoshi Heart Scorpius
AshitareBoshi Tail Scorpius
MiBoshi Basket Sagittarius

Here's a quick pronunciation guide to Seiryuu's constellations/warriors: SuBoshi= Sue-bo-she
AmiBoshi=
Am-i-bo-she
TomoBoshi=
Toe-moe-bo-she
SoiBoshi=
Soy-bo-she
NakagoBoshi=
Nah-ka-go-bo-she
AshitareBoshi=
Ash-it-ar-ray-bo-she
MiBoshi=
Mee-bo-she

The constellations appear thusly:

Each of these constellations has a warrior attached in "Fushigi Yuugi," but there is not as much name shortening here. The capitals are removed, leaving Suboshi, Amiboshi, Tomo, Soi, Nakago, Ashitare, and Miboshi. Although I hate the group so much, I still swallowed my bile and put together a picture of them. Suboshi is the guy with the blue headband in the upper left, Amiboshi is the twin of Suboshi and is playing a fife, Tomo is the freak with wierd makeup at the upper right, Soi is the girl at the bottom right, Nakago shows up twice, but I figured the full picture at the right will show you more of his evil than his blue eyes alone, Ashitare is the evil beast man below Tomo (next to the wolf), and Miboshi is the little dwarf on the left that appears to have a third eye in his forehead. The girl in the middle is Yui, the priestess of Seiryuu.

Ugh, now I have to do a pick of the litter, for the *gag* Seiryuu seven. Well, I guess I choose . . .

No one!!!!!

I really do apologize, but when I started my "pick of the litter," I had not yet seen Tape #5 of the show. Before that, I thought the Seiryuu seven were not all that bad, but they turned out to be utterly evil. Picking one of them as the best would be like picking the best Nazi!! (Almost literally, since one is hinted to be German!) I guess that I will have to show you the most despicable of the group, then. That is . . .

Nakago!! Foul Demon of Seiryuu!!!!

Oh yes, the foul "foriegner" himself. Born in a country far to the west (I think Germany,) this cruel, callous man became one of Koutou's generals. He uses people like they're Kleenex, and enjoys it! His pastimes include rape, pillage, murder, imprisoning and flogging certain members of the Suzaku seven, killing his own allies, taking advantage of his priestess's shattered self-esteem, and laughing at other people's misfortune. I will NEVER forgive him for flogging Tamohome like that, Grrrrrrrr. He has me so angry that I scream in rage every time he shows his wicked self on the screen. I guess that is testimony to how good the creators of the series are, to cause me to hate a fictional character so much. :)

I better move on before I start to rage on. I could write 2000 page books, all about how much I hate Nakago, and the different ways I would torture him before letting him die!
